Squeek where's Torch2
Are you working on Torch2 or do I have to pickup your slack and make it?

Gator PMed me about it saying you were interested, then I gave the vmfs (my version and the decompiled tfc map) to him. My version is an absolute MESS (not optimized at all, broken ingame due to too many solids/brushfaces in view, etc, etc) and it would be 100x easier to just start from scratch.
Here are the vmfs if you're interested: http://www.ffpickup.com/temp/torch_vmfs.rar Oh, and as I told gator, the one thing I liked about my version that I'd like to see in a remake is the non-solid displacements in the yard with the original TFC geometry as clip brushes for the hills in the yard.

Yea rly, i used to bug him like every week, then monthly about it, b/c the screenshots just looked so damn good. But after awhile i just gave up. :\

Alright send me over Torch2, I'll do a classic layout and play around with it.. Can you finish Highflag textures for me? I'm pretty awful at it :P

I've been on vacation working on it via the laptop.
One problem I got is the custom textures... I could replace them but I'd rather use Squeek's to keep this map as close to his vision as possible. I'll definitely have something to show Squeek by next week when I am home. |

Did the first 2 base full compile tonight and it's got a ton of bugs... mainly graphical... but it did compile successfully so thats the first good news in a long time... trying to figure out a way to send a copy to Squeek... He got an email?
