There's a waterfall overlay that comes with FF to use in Hammer. Use the texture search to find 'water' and check for the waterfall for FF_Monkey. Use the overlay tool and place it on a cliff or what have you, use the corner selectors to scale it to the fit you want, add steam or whatever, and .. better than nothing. |

I would think he knows what an overlay is. Looks like the overlay was used to simply place the wavesplash on top of the water, so it appears to be moving the water, as the waterfall empties into the large body of water. I've never made a waterfall myself though. Just a guess.

Yep, the overlays are for "under" the waterfall, showing water flowing out from it.
