Mooga's Quick Map Change Config

Hi guys, here is a very lame config I wrote because I thought SOMEONE around here would like it. It's a cfg file that basically makes a bunch of short cuts to change to the default FF maps.

So example, 2fort will change the map to 2fort (there is a 15 second delay because people are warned ahead of time.

This is a beta version. Basically I wrote it and documented it.
The documentation is good enough... there might be some odd grammar since I didn't really do any major checking-over.

Please let me know what you think.

The file is called quickmapchange.cfg
simply drop this in your cfg folder and put "exec quickmapchange.cfg" in your server.cfg.

Remotely a user would need rcon to run the commands. Once the user has rcon access, a command like "rcon monkey " would work.

Also, recommendations for other maps to add would be great.
I do plan to make more changes on this over time.

just rcon 2fort instead ff_2fort ?

Instead of: rcon changelevel ff_2fort
It's just: rcon 2fort

It then gives a message like "The map will be changed to ff_2fort" and then switch to 2fort.

I'm also going to make a user-side version. So you can just type 2fort into consol and it will automaticly run the rcon.

For a seasoned system admin it's not a big deal, but to someone who hasn't been using the console for years, it helps.

Well, I too very much agree with you here. It was nice of you to post something very valuable such as mooga quick map change configuration. I have been looking for something like this for quite some time. However it would have been very useful if you had written the instructions in a little more lucid manner. Still your effort demands appreciation. I wish you good luck for your user-side version as well. Thanks once again, mate!
