Uh, either way, whenever you decide to release the .bsp, people will be able to get it. Also, why would he mind? I don't see a reason as he seems very generous and likes helping around.

I'm curious about something BG: what's the purpose to make it look "not 100% sexy" @ beginning.....then towards end "super 100% sexy"? I don't seem to understand the logic. Don't get me wrong, but the beginning is just as sexy as the rest. However, the final blows it off and looks so much better than the rest. Explain porfavor!

Ok heres my waterfall for you guys to use/ look at. I don't mind if you want to rip this for your map, but please credit me and PHISH for the textures if you do.

i love that name...i only suggest it because i dont think i can create a map fitting of that name...otherwise i would have kept it to myself

Looks good but beyond what I can be arsed learning. As you devs say, won't be in first release, but something to look into

Id be interested in seeing the results if anyone can work this though, looks pretty shweet.

Because when i go back and pimp the first areas it will look better than the last, then I'll have to redo that to keep up! I have achieved at least a modicum of continuity with my themes and architecture which is the thing I find most difficult when mapping, so I want to leave it as is. i think the solution in his 3rd paragraph is actually not very hard, and not relying on models. you just make a simple mask texture that masks the beginning and ending of the waterfall, hence making it nicer. and you can basicly copy his .vmt

You can make a 2 texture blend that has the waterfall as the first texture and transparent alpha as the second, then make the waterfall a displacement.
