you cant jump with the compressed air, but you can shoot pipes, rockets, stuff like that, away, and it converts it to the other side.

well, i decied to pub it up on a 32 man server only to find both teams with 16 pyros, which means u can't even really get any of the achievements. them pubs shure is smart

After playing it, the new updates to pyro don't really add much...the Flare Gun doesn't do splash damage, in fact it does very little damage. The Compressed Air Shot doesn't allow you to jump...but too be honest, I can see that being added, otherwise it's a pretty nice way to push away enemies and all that. The Axe is a waste besides looking cool...it does less damage to people not on fire, but crits people on fire...they're trying to make combo kills more of an option.

I have had no hand in at all in contributing towards anything FF, except verbosity, so I would not have been upset at all if Valve had decided to incorporate "self-push" into this new TF2 Pyro feature. The thing is... this idea has been sitting in the beta forums for a couple weeks (but for the HW, not the pyro).

There aren't many things in FF that the TF2 developers can take anyway...the gameplay styles simply don't match. The spy tranq came from TFC...so it's Valve's to add/take all they want. Medic couldn't have an offensive role, the medic update is already out and it didn't really add anything to the medic to make them any more viable as an offensive presence. Don't be paranoid...TFC belonged to valve, and a lot of what FF has and TF2 has is derived from TFC. TF2 is the official "sequel" to the Team Fortress franchise, therefore anything they want to add from previous games is their right.

I know the FF Spy's cloak, and the TF2 Spy's invisibility aren't exactly the same, but they're awful similar in concept. Regardless of who came up with it first, I find the cloak way more fun, versatile, and interesting...plus SGs can see you cloaked.
