Upgrade Advice.
I got an AMD Sempron 3000+ clocked at 2.1GHz, 1gig of ram and an N6600GT Videocard.
My Videocard is AGP, i was wondering if upgrading the AGP card and adding another gig of ram would be worth it or should i just change my whole setup. |

To be honest a single core sempron will hold you back whatever you upgrade. Your gfx card is not all that shabby so i would look at upgrading your processor first.
You can get a perfectly decent core2duo, motherboard and 2 gig ram for $300 if you shop around. I would start from there and then think about upgrading your gfx card. |

Well not really. PCI-E performs A LOT faster and AGP cards are starting to cost a little more. You could upgrade your processor if you don't have a socket 754. Its hard to find the good 754's now and when you do they are usually priced 75 over what they should be. If you have socket 939 you should be alright though.
All in all you are better off shelling out a couple hundred for a motherboard and processor. The downside is you'll also be buying new RAM and a new video card but in the long run its a better investment. |

you at least need to upgrade to c2d setup, 2gig ram. if you like AA or playing at lcd res, you probably want a 8600gt or better. u could probably survive on a agp/pci-e combo board (asrock?) if u really dont have money to get new vid.

Money isn't that much of an issue. I was just wondering about AGP. I guess i'll change Mobo and Processor. Then Ram and Video, then sound.

i think youll find the card itself is more of an issue than it using agp.
if u have money then get something like 8600gts/8800gts and c2d setup (overclock or get fastest cpu u can, since ff is cpu hungry) |
