Railgun knockback

Hello everyone. I'll welcome myself to your forum.

Does anyone know if the railgun will have any knockback?

I wouldn't think so, but don't quote me in that. I think it would just slow down the pace of the game and I just don't see it benefiting the overall gameplay.

i think he means knockback like in tfc where if you get hit, with it, its got some push to it (see the last dinosaur 2 freefall_4 stunts)

I'll tell you I can get a headshot with it though.

but on the sniper video, it said you can only get a head shot with sniper rifle. It's all lies!

Ahh, but you see, it is the only weapon that does more damage with a headshot. You can shoot anyone in the head, if you aim.

i thought it was mentioned somewhere that it was going to bounce off of walls and change colors as it bounces from surface to surface as it loses momentum...maybe...i dunno...maybe i just dreamed it...

It's come quite a bit farther since then, it's pretty sweet.

Well, I look forward to seeing what the rail can do. Hopefully, being able to kill a heavy in one shot and have rapid fire :P

I think rapid fire with headshots would unbalance the game. dont get your hopes up.

My guess is for a headshot you would have to hold the fire button. *shrug*

From the Dustbowl video it looks like a Quake railgun.

Also apparently, SNIPER RIFLE EXCEPTING, headshots are just a graphical thing on death - a shot to the head = decapitation if the player would've died anyway.
