What ever you choose to pay will be split between the developers and various charities.

I have played World of Goo (demo), Aquaria (full game), Gish (demo) in the past and each are excellent; Lugaru looks shockingly poop whilst Penumbra looks interesting.

World of Goo is a great game, and I've been meaning to try out Aquaria recently as well. This is a great deal, you should really give these guys at least 5 or 10 bucks for these games.

World of Goo is easily worth 10 or 15 bucks alone. I tried a demo of Gish and wasn't impressed.

This is just fucking awesome. I love supporting indie game makers. And it looks like they made out very well? And because of that they are going open source? FANTASIC example of what this model can achieve! Wow, seriously

The Humble Indie Bundle experiment has been a massive success beyond our craziest expectations. So far, 134,536 generous contributors have put down an incredible $1,234,302. Of this, contributors chose to allocate 30.88% to charity: $381,181 for the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Child's Play Charity. I have made a page for the full breakdown including the merchant fees in a JSON format here (json).

Now it's our turn to give back. As of 5/11/10, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru HD, and Penumbra Overture pledge to go open source. We are preparing the sources right now and will be releasing them ASAP. We spent last night preparing Lugaru and it is available now. Update: The source to Penumbra Overture has been released!

Note, the games will be "free as in 'free speech', not as in 'free beer'": see each license for the full, finalized details as they come out very hopefully this week -- stay tuned. It is the underlying code that will be made available to everyone.

Lugaru is one of those games where, if you suck at it, you hate it. But if you're good at it, you'll pull off some crazy shit and do some crazy shit and it'll be some crazy shit.
