I doubt peoples fortress background will matter too much (as long as there is a fortress background). The mechanics of fortress are basically the same no matter which one you play.

When ETF came out, it seems to make sense that the Q3F players would have been better at it, but within a week or so, TFC'ers here in aus like Kan3 could contend with the best of them.

Also, Kan3 basically taught me alot fortress-wise. Especially concs. And you know what.. he just used most of the concs from TFC, and most of them worked.

Anyways, I'm just saying despite its TFC influence, it's still going to feel like a new game to all of us, TFC'ers included.

rofl I think all hardcore mulchers were and still are pretty fucking arrogant, even the bad ones lolz

yeah you're right about the arrogance lol even the bad ones. what's funnier is the arrogant "badasses" on the 2fort pubs that think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread even though your score is like 120 and 12 and they are like 12 and 120 lol. the whole round all you do is play. you dont talk or talk shit or anything. then they say something like "you fucking noob only noobs conc." or "only noobs play hw." it's a sad world... can't we all just get along????????

I was a qwtf/q3f man myself, although I did clan in TFC for a little (like 2 weeks). It's definitely my least favorite fortress though... even so I'm still very much looking forward to FF.

Funny that almost every post in this thread is written by a TFC player. I tried TFC for about 2 hours when it came out and then decided I didn't like the feel of the game. I'm really curious how the reactions will be when FF is released, and maybe based on that I'll purchase HL2 or whatever I need to try FF.

Low grav is the best however and you'll find me regularly playing at the low grav OMC Spamorama server. That is untill their low grav FF server is up...here's the website:

I'm an ex TFC'r never really liked q3f or ETF pld a few times for MPK in ETF but that was about it.

Been playing TFC since 99 when it was released I think been in a few top clans but these days I just play when my cl (b0nes!) makes me which is enough for me really!

Actually played my first match in about 7 months yesterday and enjoyed it!

I started playing TF -97 (That's 1997 for you young folks!). I played in clans until about 1999, after that I played TFC on public servers for a year and then quit playing altogether. Women and whisky filled the void nicely.
