XSI: SMD exoprt rotating models

I never had this happen with simple test-stuff like cubes or rounded edges, but somehow it acts up with a ramp I've built in XSI. It's a simple textured poly-mesh, looking like a smooth ramp.

My model is perfectly straight and centered in XSI, after exporting it to SMD with the Valve plugin, loading the SMD shows it already rotated in there by some 4-5°. As expected, the compiled model (with newest StudioCompiler) is also rotated. The mesh itself is ok, just rotated. It's such an odd ammount that I can't straighten it out in Hammer.

What is causing this? I really love my ramp but it's unusable due to that crap.

Make sure you have any transform modifiers turned off before you export it. The same thing happens to me in max at times, and doing a reset xform fixes it. I don't know what the XSI equivalent is, though. Worth a try.

I haven't done much exporting, but you might try Transform > Freeze all Transforms on your model (b/f the export).

Thanks for the replies
I did the usual Freeze and it didn't help. I reset everything and loaded the xsi file on a different computer where it still was rotated. Copy&Paste in a new file did the same. Then, I rebuilt it from scratch.
The new one is absolute identical and works perfectly. I've tested all kinds of weired shapes, but they all exported just fine.

The usual software glitches I guess.
Modelling stuff like smooth ramps or twisted ramps rocks, even if I had to do everyone twice, Hammur is a big pain for this.
