Cool intro or video...

Will there be an intro or video showing some cool parts of the game,that starts while Fortress-Forever is loading...

I don't wanna sit through an intro, or even have to press esc every time I start up FF. BUT, how about a 3D background for the main screen, ala HL2?

I don't wanna sit through a loading screen just for a 3d background either tbh

It was better as a Paint representation of the Earth from the Moon.

The 3D Menu Maps are easy to turn off, but it looks like crap when you do (in HL2). I think, if there's time, a 3D menu map would be nice, with an alternate non-3d background as a choice.

OOOOH, I Gotta GREAT Idea.

Redo the entire FF work so far and ame it so that it all is 3D. Then, in order to play the game, you have to wear the 3D glasses that are only available for purchase from the Jiggle company..!!!!

You know a very short intro video might be fun. Or you know in HL2 CTF when you start there is a combine swinging a stunstick once and then the main menu comes up?? you can do something like that. Or if you do credits you can do a short skit for that.

Video would be better than 3d background since it'd load quicker, plus it'd be totally cool if said video was like the original qwtf intro but better.

Ok. I HAVE AN IDEA. We start off with a random spinny logo of ATI. Than we flash the Valve logo. THAN, we zoom out and turn the Valve logo into a sticker on a rocket. Than theres a 2 minute video with gameplay, with cool drum music, all taking place on crossover2.

After the video, we play repetitive looping BF2 music, while in the backround a black and white fuzzy video of a camera scanning a map as if it were a sattelite shows.

O yea. Don't forget a laggy server choosing window.

Don't get me goin', quist. I can rant for hours about how the BF2 menus are the worst menus every built by anyone ever period.

On another note, I've always liked how fast CS and TFC loaded up, with no mucking about in intros or logos or anything.

What sucks about the BF2 videos is that you have to rename the files to stop them from playing. If they would just have a "don't play" check box in the options...
