hm...good point...isnt hl2 a requirement for FF though?

You just need a game that has the source SDK base, CS:S, HL2DM, HL2, etc..

and sourceSDK base im almost certain includes most HL2 assets. After all, it is pretty much Lost Coast when you boot it.

That doesnt really matter because he can just pull that model out of the hl2 gcfs and just add the files to the bsp. So the map will have all the required assets.

Is there a way with Lua to tie models to player models? Like the gas mask would be over their face, or floating on top of there heads.

I think you would essentially have to make a new player model that when they touch the trigger casts to the player and then it would look like they are wearing it...but idk for sure

You could make it float in the same way that a flag attaches to a player. But I don't think there's any way to attach an item to the player's head. I think an icon, similar to the medic beacon, would be the best thing if visibility is what you want.

maybe it could be attached to a head bone in the same way a w_model hangs on the hand bone?

forgot to add, i will be redoing the roof going around the yard, its to steep and you cannot build a sg there, i really really want to be able to build sg's on that roof. agree?
