Any gear heads in here?

I've been trying to diagnose this noise coming from the front end of my truck, but I can't seem to find the cause.

First off, it's an '04 F150 5.4L Triton and I have a K&N FIPK Cold Air Intake and it has been tuned for better performance.

I get this metallic whistling sound coming from my front end, but only while I am driving and only at low RPMs. Regardless of what gear I am in, as long as I apply a small amount of pressure to the gas pedal, I hear the sound. I know some stock intakes have something to muffle a turbo-like whistling noise, but that's really not the noise I am hearing.

I can be going 10mph in a parking lot and make the sound and as soon as I either let off the gas pedal or put more pressure on it, the sound goes away. I can be going 60mph on a highway and still hear it. It all depends on how much pressure I apply to the gas pedal.

When I am in park and rev my engine both hard and soft, no sound occurs.

Any ideas what could cause this? I would think a bad bearing in the alternator would cause a sound like this to occur all the time, not just when I am driving.

This problem started happening after driving through a bad snow storm last winter and it's just become too annoying. I was thinking about reinstalling my old intake or just attempting to reproduce the noise with no intake to see if it might be the throttle body, but I'm not convinced it's an intake/tb issue.

I've attempted to record a sound clip of this problem, but my phone will not record the sound.

Is it almost like a whine every time you turn/accelerate/decelerate?
Maybe check your power steering fluid?

It's only when I accelerate at maybe 1500-2100 RPM. Doesn't matter the speed I'm going. It has no ill effect based on steering though.
