I use those sites(myspace/facebook/twitter) to spread my writings around and get some attention to myself. It's helped, since now I'm doing this:

I will also be writing articles for, and doing interviews with players/coaches of the Baltimore Mariners Arena Football team come March.

Nothing exciting about it but it's a way to keep up with semi-personal information about a lot of people at the same time. I hate using the phone, so its pretty easy to see what the family is doing.

That said, I don't see the point of having hundreds of people friended if you aren't interested in seeing what they're all up to.
