Ya it's pretty fun, a few odd things I don't get about the map though. The downstairs area through the water, you hit the switch and warp up top. and then you are trapped and someone can gas you, is there a purpose to that? I didn't figure it out, the onl think I didn't try was with security disabled. Oh and the water is difficult to get out of, I always get caught on the edge.

Love the speed up things, very cool feature, and could make for some awesome maps! Already giving me a few ideas. Good work over all, would love a bit more sniper cover but that's just cause I'm selfish and usually play spy haha. I suck at bhopping but ff is making me a lot better, cause sometimes you bhop in off that speed thing and blast right up there, very cool.

There's no purpose of it, except that's 2forts basement. Aardvark is built on top of the old 2fort arena.

Oh okay, was wondering, that part is a bit confusing, I guess it's cool that there is some history to the place, but it doesn't make things easier on new players to the game lol. If there was a purpose to it, it could be justified, like when security is down, if it provided a shortcut out or something.

There is a purpose to it.

Burning people who fall into the trap like dummies.

On another note, did you know that you can climb the two trees by the bridge in the yard, and that you can move the boats around with grenades, pipes, etc.?

Only thing that sucks, though, is that they are unaffected by detpacks. I wanted to put a boat on a roof. ):

You can get that boat to fly pretty high with a bunch of yellow pipes using demoman. Some dude and I were trying to get it to land in the tree.

Oh ya I most definitely use that tunnel to bypass security but there is so much stuff there that doesn't make sense, like the door that doesn't open. I kept trying to get through. Would have loved to see some of those things used in conjunction with the security. Cool map though, a lot of fun, I'm sure it's gonna become a classic, good job on the first map you made!

I think the map needs a couple of tweaks to stop the choke point at the ramp/entrance.

Maybe a detpack could be used to disable security by the outside generator?

I guess this is a good a place as any to ask... How is one supposed to defend this map against high level players? It's so extremely wide open that concing around is... no word for it.
I swear in the round I just played we had medics/scouts making the trip from boost pad, to the flag, and out with it in 10 seconds. The speed at which they were moving made me wonder how one should stop this.

We pushed one boat into the red base sewer access near the front door, down the water and to the first corner of the tunnel where it got stuck. We tried to get it past the corner for about 2 hours with my friend... at 4pm or something. Finally we gave up and destroyed it with ent_remove

Challenge: Try and get from your spawn, get the enemy flag, then get back and cap it, all within 20s.

It's going to be very hard to defend and takes alot of teamwork, given the number of entrances, I think your best bet is to slow down the cap rate and hope your offence outcaps the opposition.

Something like...

HWG top ramp
Engineer SG Flag room, dispenser Covering a position where nmy nails sg from.
Demoman on flag piping, this is the key man as the demoman should be able to stop concers and the SG gets any who are gunning for the demo.

Soldier Switch ( but i think he's wasted here due to the back way in.)
Soldier FR Roaming to intercept.

As I say it will be a bitch to defend, but at least this way if the hwg and two sollys work together you have some chance.
