What? No Audiosurf thread?

Please tell me that this thread doesn't exist yet because you all are playing it (or FF).

It requires songs that have changes of pace to be interesting =\. You'd figure songs that are super intense would be super intense as well, but I've found them all to be a breeze.

I don't want to spend money on another thing that plays mp3s.

Especially a mere game.

I tried the demo and plan to buy it. So yeah, I liked it. Maybe it's because I also like Stepmania/Keyboard DDR...

stepmania is fun. audiosurf looks a little weird though, even for me, but I'll probably end up giving it a try anyways

It's not all that weird, basically, it's a somewhat deformed tetris game.

And yes, Techno/Metal songs tend to destroy your face.

This is fun.

I played The Irony of Chaste and The Cat Attached to the Rust like five times. Now there's no demo time left. Now I need to buy it.

Fuck.

Info: the links are the songs in OGG format if you'd like to try 'em.

I've been playing it off and on recently. Guitar Hero for me gets old fast because of the limited amount of songs. But with Audiosurf it's unlimited, which is awesome. Granted some songs don't work so well, but I have a huge diverse library so it's no problem for me.

I really like playing songs from Mastodon, ISIS, The Sword, Queens of the Stone Age, The Mars Volta, Fugazi, and some Radiohead songs (but some are boring). I've even found a handful of Tom Waits songs that are a blast. And many many more.

I've only been playing Ninja Mono (in iron mode) but since I've been getting better I'm gonna find some online tutorials for the other characters because I have no idea how to play them and do good. Youtube seems like a good start.

Yeah eraser it's probably the 2nd easiest. Vegas isn't bad but I can never get as many points as I can with the mono characters so I don't bother with it.

I can only use eraser on slower songs. Pink Floyd, Radiohead, The Beatles, and some ISIS are great for me with the eraser.
