The Veyron is worse. Flat out it will use all it's petrol in 15 minutes.. And it costs 100 quid to fill it up.

I wonder if that bridge is suceptable to oscillation, I'd hate to be on top of that bridge when this happens:

*EDIT* I saw this documentary about really enthustiastic engineers wanting to bridge the Berings strait. A 55 mile long bridge stretching the sea in between, holy crap. If they pull it off it would complete a global road where you are basically able to drive anywhere around the globe.

Discovery link: The Berings Strait Bridge

The catastrophe was attributed to faulty design. Instead of allowing the wind to pass through, the suspended girders caught the wind, causing the bridge to buck and roll. The structure oscillated violently under the strong gusts, until it finally broke apart and crashed into the water.
I'm pretty sure the saying 'learn from your mistakes' would come to mind for this project.

Haha, well if you had the cash to buy a Bugatti Veyron to begin with i doubt you would care that it was an expensive car to use.

Oh yeah, and its also worth mentioning that "flat out" you would be doing 407km/h

It will probobly appear on the Discovery network sooner or later. I remember seeing something simaler myself. I just can't remember exactly what it was. I though I had seen a show about a bridge between Alaska and Japan... but the project was scrapped (according to the show)

I'm pretty sure the show was Extreeme Engeneering, based on this article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bering_Strait_Bridge
