So acknowledging that a better product exists makes you a fanboy?

I'll remember that.

There's a difference between acknowledging and actually giving IE8 a chance.

I try to use alternatives to Microsoft programs whenever I can. So no IE8 for me.

I will treat this like every MS product. I'll give it time in the wild and read the issues people are experiencing so that if I run into it I'll have a good feel on fixing it. I don't particularly care to be an involuntary Beta tester for MS.

I will be interested in hearing your report on it. I have to admit to being leery of it due to past experience...

The installation took a bite of time. It took around 5-6 minutes to install, but i guess that's because of the Spyware check done inside the installation.

It's surprisingly faster than firefox. It's a bit laggy and some webpages look a bit funky on it but it's really damn fast.

Hmmm. Loooks like I'm the only proud Opera user here.
I used to have Firefox, but when my old computer started to slow down, Firefox slowed down considerably and it kept resetting my goddam bookmarks. And then came Opera, which worked perfectly.

I've been using Opera ever since I got fed up with twice weekly "ZOMGSUPERIMPORTANTSECURITYUPDATENAOW" crap.

I dunno. Out of all the years I've been around the internet I've never had a virus. Ever. Except for once. And that was when my shitty friend downloaded Bonzai Buddy. Who the fuck does that anyway?

Maybe it's because I don't go places that are shitty... or maybe it's because I'm the most awesome person on the planet... I dunno. I think it's the latter.
