yeah people are mistaking weapon bobbing as view bobbing. If any of you have played STALKER, it has view bobbing. View bobbing s not nauseating for me as much as it is to some people but I wouldn't like it in any multi-player game. Weapon bobbing is subtle enough to not make you sick and still provide the feeling of walking other than sliding. I'm over observant though and these things bother me, for no real reason at all.

I've lost the chance in lull for my school work. Now, since we're so close to the end of the semester they're piling work on us. I will send a full application to AfterShock hopefully when summer break begins. See you in about 1 1/2 to 2 months.

FF needs a lot more animations, for example railgun trigger animation, and third person reload animations for every gun. Also, HWGuy spinup ftw.

I don't think those animations exist yet, so they'll need to be added in code. Doable, I'm sure, but more work than just I can do.

I'd say that would be easier done through programming than setting up animations in the .mdl's - the bobbing would have to correspond to player movement anyway.
But yeah, still don't really see the need for any bobbing. |

If you have teh skillz with animatin', send an application over to fortressforever [at] gmail.com.
Include your experience with programs. A portfolio (showing past work - we're talking files, not screenshots) will go a long way towards the other devs being willing to give you a shot at things. There's a lot of animating that needs to be done and more animators would be very helpful.

I mean, if you don't know what you're doing... we obviously wouldn't hand over our model source files to you to work on. d: It's hard to find animators because it takes months of practice to be any good at things. |=
