I love how trepid_jon is an honest and sincere man. That basically wraps up the reason for not having frequent updates. With the slowdown, we can expect regular updates as usual. Today? Well who knows, it is New Years ^_^

Correct me if I'm wrong but here is what I think the dev team is hung up on:
They have a team of X number of people, lets just use 10 for an example. Ten people working on this project. They have reached a point that requires a particular members knowledge and knowhow but that particular member is MIA. Unfortunately though, in order to obtain any further progress on the project, this MIA person must complete a certain task. Thus while this person is MIA, the other 9 members can't do anything. Since the other 9 members are sitting around doing nothing, can't they take 5 minutes out of their "busy" schedule to take some screenshots? Maybe write a dev journal? What else better is there to do in this period of "slow times". Edit: I know there are still a few dev members who are doing what they can, but if some of the above situation is even slightly true, give a dog a bone. Also, you say that you regulary update the 'hardcore' via the forums; what good is this when you're trying to attract new people to a mod and keep them interested until release (from where by all accounts so far the mod itself will do the rest)? |
