A Little Nostalgia
Hello All.
I just found this mod on planethalflife a few days ago. I am extremely excited. I would say some of the fondest memories of my life were my first year or two of playing tfc. I loved the game to death. Please tell me if any of this stuff rings a bell, names clans etc. I got half life a month after it came out, and tfc when it came out. My name online was CHICHI. I hope this game will be extremely true to TFC. I played this game for 12-14 hours a day during the summer of my 7th or 8th grade (im in college now). I practiced almost nothing besides mulch dm that entire summer, and played only as a soldier. Did anyone else obsess over mulch the way I did? The amazing time of finding a small server with mulch dm running and the best soldiers from the best clans duking it out. Split second grenade timing and strafing the keys to victory. I was mentored by a few members of clan U-238, which I believe ended but members went to FOOM. Anyone in here from either of those clans? I myself went solo mostly, didnt need a clan to do mulch dm. only semi-major clan i remember being in was FEAR but I didnt like matches all that much. I was also in a little clan called xD...wonder whatever became of it. One other thing...there was a ladder of dm soldiers...I wasnt in it but I remember playing the #1 guy on it...I want to say his name was [SUN]Shark...that was about the greatest feeling beating him after hearing he was at the top of the ladder...anyone know that ladder or that player? Well...nostalgia ends here, but I just had to write it after the euphoria of finding this mod, this site. |

If it's the same Shark I am thinking of who did time in KoD he was later convicted of taking performance enhancing executables... I hear he's doing a 3 card monty in front of a 7-11 to steal from Junior High kids to keep him in Slurpees and Pez....

My friend's brother was in the clan U-238, and he left because the leader and at least 3 of the members used multihacks.
Not smart to say they were your witnesses. |

But right, getting back on topic, it's refreshing to see so many TFC vets resurfacing onto the scene. Hopefully most of the others that haven't already shown up aren't too busy raising families and getting bills paid to frag everyone come release time... And I apologize if your comment wasn't meant to be taken seriously, bwnzor. If so, this wouldn't be the first time on the forums someone's tried to be sarcastic and failed horribly... |

really? thats kinda depressing considering i looked up to them so much. I want evidence of this cause seriously, they were like my big brothers. Actually, it was just 2 of their members that I played with a lot...but yankeezulu is the name i remember distinctly. I was about 13 at the time.

thank you for the vote of semi-confidence...I remember the score was very close, and I was losing at first...he was the best player I ever played but when youre 13 years old and you practice 12 hours a day at one thing...i mean, how can someone with any semblance of a life hope to compete? I think the score was 11-10 but i could be wrong...anyway, is there plans for a league for this? I cant remember the name of it but there was this league with gold silver and bronze groups...I think FEAR was in the silver level.

Screw that nostalgia , i'll go with mine , before my 3 first months , i used to play Murderball , like 50 hours a week , then came along my little scheme to form a clan , lasted 2 years and nothing much been there , then i started getting i nthe technical stuff , i've been taught to conc my a guy named PHiSh , my clan was SnD , then i joined a few other clans , isuk , i3 ... and blah blah , i remember the hype when it was Zt. vs 404 ... ahhh , i'm not to sure if it was 404... i'm pretty sure it was , oh yea ... HoP House of pain was cool , i tried out to some guilds like Widowmakers the solly guild... aww memories.

You guys get offensive really easy. He was just talking about killing someone he looked up to at one point. He isn't saying he is the end all be all or anything here. Chill and eat doritos.

Please remember this is a noflame forum, we want to keep a welcoming atmosphere. I think the original post was just about some dude having fun back in the day. This is cool.
Also on the matter of cheats, I know as much as anyone how the cheating nearly destroyed clanned play in TFC. Hopefully we can treat FF as a new begining and hopefully people will realise that cheating isnt worth it. |

Ah that makes more sense. I was almost 100% that Doritos were almost a nationwide thing.
