mic problems

alright I did all I can and still nothing, i need someone smarter than me. My issue is every volume involving the Mic has been turned up and still you can only hear my voice barely if there is no noise, and still people cannot make out what I am saying.

HALP!

Well the first thing I would do is plug in a diff mic to see if it went bad.

The other thing is have you tried other voice programs like teamspeak or ventrilo?

Is it just the in game voice?

lastly I use 7zip fully functional. Free no hacks or trial versions to worry about. Yes it will unzip what ever you have.

One word of advice..new mic..ive had that problem a number of times, its always the mic..always..my kids have wrecked at least 2 of my headsets..they wanna play so they put on my headset. They think that by putting the mic super close to their mouth they can be heard. I havent taught them how to use the headset.. lol All it does though is get the mic wet..ewww..which shorts out the mic..I had a usb headset killed that way..$40 dollar headset ruined..;/ Dont know if you have kids or not, but thats what happened with me..hope this helps..

eh its probably the headset, its like a 10$ walmart special. I feel for you about your kid though, no i have none being only 17 xD but i have a friend who spits all over his.

I have a 10 dollar special from staples and it works just great, in fact most of the local people I know that use mics use the same one.

Have you turned on mic boost in steam and/or windows?

Are you sure you have it plugged into the mic hole and not the linein hole?
