Descent-like action in MMO form. I've bben playing it a ton so far, though it's only in pre-alpha, and it's brilliant. Anyone who's ever enjoyed a vehicle game should check it out.

is the mp subscription based? or free?

The FAQ page says it'll be "buy and play". No subscription fees.

I'm unbelievably stoked. Also: the rumor is that in later releases this game will be cross-platform with Xbox.

I was really excited until I saw that it is full PvP. I played Jumpgate back in its heyday, which is like this but not with the fully destructible game world, and nothing sucked worse than the griefers waiting to jump your fully laden tow. I know that right now it probably isn't an issue, but I do hate me some griefers.
