Black mesa has been in development for almost 4 years and looks a whole lot better then hl2 does.

I think valve software hired the wrong developers for hl2. The game would have been a lot better if they there would have been people like the BM and FF developers working on the project.

It looks like BM might be better then a lot of people expect.

valve also needed to develop the engine

anyways, i am very excited for BMS. i really cannot wait

wow. That has got to be literally the best trailer I've seen in a game, ever. Just, wow. I am amazed. Every single mapper and coder will be hired, no doubt imo.

Well, that was kind of obvious... not really a "spoiler".... Even without the "2009", we could have figured that.

Anyhow... I'm really looking forward to it. The entire video had me excited(although the flashes at the beginning made my eyes hurt for a bit....it was worth the pain, though).... I really like the video, and TBH, I can't wait to play it.

I'm hoping like hell it'll be first quarter... but I didn't want to get overly "optimistic" and be disappointed.

Need any beta testers?

A couple of kewl things have happened.

Youtube is lovin Black Mesa, Digg is loving Black Mesa as well.. aw heck, there are a LOT of sites out there that is loving the dev team right now. (the list of sites are still compiling)

A PR guy from Valve called on behalf of dev team, who unanimously said we are badass. (He verified the phone number and it was 'fo realz.)

And signing in to msn, one of our dev team reported "... 6 have come, 2 on the monitor itself, 2 have had heart attacks and one may have died from the pleasure" (or something like that)
