Recommend a book…
In need of a decent holiday book! I'm not normally big on reading (although I do enjoy it when I have the time) so it needs to be easy to digest, and preferably something funny.
Books I've read and liked that I can remember... Addict Stupid White Men (Got tedious though) Porno Are YOU Dave Gorman? Googlewhack Adventure No Sci-Fri please (ffs) |

I can suggest a good smut... er... ah... ahem... romance book. Wait a sec... you are a guy... why on earth would you want to read a romance novel? oh hold it a second... read it and you might actually learn a thing or two about what a woman wants under the linens. hehe... anyway. It is your basic vampire / carpathian race / human romance type book, but is very good. I have the whole 16 book series.

Colbert knows everything. I've been looking for such an upstanding person to take advice from for a while, and I found him on the first episode of the Colbert Report. Damn, he is so upstanding and full of truthiness. Not to mention he's an American.

Pratchett has come up a few times on these boards, but you just can't reccomend him enough. So here goes:
Read Thief of Time, The Night Watch, or Wierd Sisters. Or any other book by him. Those 3 would be good places to start. P.S. Did FT just suggest Hyperion by Dan Simmons? No fucking way! |
