noob question
Hey all,
I was wondering, to play this do I need the SP Half-Life 2 or can I just get Half-Life 2 Deathmatch from Steam? |

I was told you don't need HL2, only the Source SDK Tool, which is already with Steam. So I think you can make a blank steam account and download the game.
NOTE: I'm not 100% about this. |

my friend has hl2dm but not hl2 itself and can play.... don't know anyone who has nothing and tried it... someone post if they know please!

You need a copy of either HL2 or HL2DM purchased. Also, The free ATI version of HL2DM doesn't allow you to play.
