Ok finally got the full install on the server.

BRILLIANT. ABSOLUTLY FUN. ME GOING TO HAVE CHILDRENS WITH FF NOW
Just two things... sgs are dumb, if they lock a player you can pass right in front of it, and it wont kill you. 2, the flag throw its all screw up. 1 meter at the most. Or maybe i dont throw them right. But its a brilliant patch lol.

Keep the good work.

i noticed this too. it's good that it doesnt slide on the floor anymore, but it needs a bit more horizontal push.

Don't look up. Look horizontally and it'll automatically throw it at 45 degrees(ish) for maximum distance. This is similar to how it was in TFC.

The flag actually throws shorter than before, I don't understand how that is "maximum distance". In 1.0 I could toss the flag on Monkey into the pit every time, now it hardly reaches near the edge of the pit with a perfect horizontal throw .

Ya I notice the same thing the other day, also on Aardvark when I threw the flag through the lasers, I usually do it from a distance but I had to get closer this time.

Yeah 1.0 and 1.11 etc flag throw was too strong. This was because instead of changing the throw direction, they upped the horizontal push so a flatter throw still went a similar distance to TFC higher arcing throw. This meant that maps like monkey and SD2 (where you throw the flag downwards rather than flat), the flag ended up going really far, and this was bad.

That said, we could increase the flag throw velocity a little for 2.1, if the general consensus is that it should be increased.

It's fine the way it is. People just need something to complain about.

If only every development team thought like squeek we wouldn't need betas of anything! Every game would be perfect from the start as long as the developers thought so.
