Looks really cool. We got a chuckle out of one of the map settings, too. You'll see why very soon

The level design matches the character design nicely I feel.
Yes, the map is definately 2fort, but this is where i see the players located:

Hwguy is red side yard (you see both mini-entrances to red base and bridge)

Spy is located just past the bottom elevator in the basement of the blue base where the basement spawn connects to the basement room. ( At first you can see a little portion of the bottom elevator. Then as the spy leans around the corner you see long hall entrance to flagroom and also the bottom spiral exit)

[EDIT] The scout is in his own basement running toward the spiral.

Engineer has to be on some part of the sniper tower. Maybe outside the battlement spawn.

The medic is definately top spiral. Which is a really nice looking spiral. Very wide and with a high ceiling (makes offense fun and easy)

Sniper is battlements (great looking water pond indeed )

The soldier is very hard to determine... but my guess would be blue base upper elevator shaft room. Very hard to tell imo.

Pyro is just in the yard then the last clip with him spraying the flame thrower is just valve doing what they do best (cgi work)

I just watched the video and it lagged horrible b/c my work computer sucks all available ass. I also have no sound, so I can't hear the incredible music that goes along with this video.

But, I am not surprised, this is probably the video VALVe showed off at the EA conference (they said in the article it just introduced classes).

After watching the video, I can't say I can see myself playing this game seriously. It looks really fun, but really goofy. That's my first impression. Maybe after I watch the video a couple more times (non-lag, with sound), then that opinion will change.

EDIT: YouTube'd TF2 Video

Defrag, is this hinting at a screen/video of one of the upcoming media releases?

Sounds to me like FF_2fort already looks similar to what we see in this video of (allegedly) TF2_2fort.

If true then lol. Nice one!

Cool video

Was really hoping for more in-game footage though. Guess that's for teaser2

Seems like it would be fun to play, but there's people all over TF sites, including Steam, saying they're sticking with FF.

And guys, to prevent any type of flame war. If this isn't you're style, please be rest assured that there is Fortress Forever to more suit your style if you're not liking this.
But amazingly, there wasn't much of a roar from the player community about TF2, I guess they just waited too long.

That trailer reminds me of old school Lucas Arts games, like Full Throttle, and the No One Lives Forever (& Contract J.A.C.K.) series. Especially with the music they have in there, it's very NOLFish.

Also, I think that's 2fort we're seeing since they're on a bridge and there's bases on either side.

And, at the time of posting, I haven't read this thread.

I think TF2 looks incredible! I can't wait until it comes out - I am also really excited to see some in game footage, and what the gameplay will be like.

loved the soldier, and I have decided I am the pyro; weird, violent, and into rubber with a big weapon.

And I give, ok, the Demo Man is too slick to not like.

Now reach into that bag, and give me my MIRV.
Which one is it?
The one that says 'Bad Motherfucker' on it.

Guess there'll be an unique taunt animation for each class, e.g. banging your head with a showel for the soldier. Too bad they didn't show any real gameplay footage yet. At least FF and TF2 have rather differing styles visually.

Cute video. I think they did the right thing keeping TF redicilous. I'm just not sure about the amount of cartoonage in it.

If FF was never been made i'd prolly be very happy to see TF2 coming out after all, and against all excpectations. Now i'm not that excited couse FF seem to be exactly what i wanted from TFC in source.
It doesn't mean i'm not eager to try out TF2 though. Looks like fun.

Call me back when they release video of actual gameplay or game animations.

I find it unlikely that the soldier will bang himself on the head with a shovel in the game, or the medic snap his glove, or the demo swing his dynamite by the fuse, or etc.

I like the models, though. The map looked really interesting too, assuming it really was a map.
