FPS/lag Improvement - Page 3

Anyone know a way to make water look terrible so it uses less fps? When I turn dxlevel to 70 it does it, but I don't know what it's changing. It has nothing to do with reflection or refraction, it just needs to make the water flat (no ripples/distortion)

The options under video / advanced don't change anything?

someoen should make a dxlevel 9 friendly cfg without shinny models, also this last cfg in here is ok but with dx9 models shinny and water is fucked up to where you cant even see into the water to see whos swimming in the water like in WELL FR. other then that the cfg is alright i reformated today so i dont want to use it anymore b/c i hated the shinny mdl's always big confusion calling out enemies and what not. Unless 2.0 will be a huge improvement with fps i myself would be good to go with no fps cfg's
