We had 1 user in the Beta report this problem when joining from the Steam browser, but we haven't been able to reproduce it. If anyone else has this problem please post!

Hey that was me. I had the exact same error yesterday and I erased everything, I'm gonna install the release install and see if it does the same thing.

Hey I got this too in the beta.. I thought some files got corrupted as it
happened after I closed FF while it was loading a map. Reinstalling the mod fixed it for me. |

Same Problem
Hey I'm getting this same error on trying to join a game, I've reinstalled the mod and that still didn't seem to help me. Any suggestions?

same error. tried "reinstalling" by moving folder out of mods directory and moving it back, didn't do anything, already deleted zip so redownloading and gonna try that again.
one thing - before it let me launch it downloaded source sdk base - tried deleting that but it just pops back up (recreates itself?) instead of redownloading |

You need Source SDK base to play FF, so leave that there so you don't download it again, if that is what you meant is happening.

Try running FF from a shortcut, or from the steam games window, or directly from the server browser.

You get this error when you installed the windows server files, instead of the client.

off to a flying start...
I downloaded a zip file, not an installer? |

hopefully that was my problem... grabbed the zip and assumed it was the client before someone mod'ed their post about it in the downloads thread for mirrors. least it only takes me 4mins to download from the mirror, etqw.owl site, smokin!
