TF2: Heretical and blasphemous of the REAL thing
Man, it's almost nearly no use...
These days, I only get on TF2 when I want to spread the 'Good News' of TF, but most people I ran into in that game are so well convinced that TF2 is the real deal. Kids these days...*tsk tsk tsk*, they wouldn't know a REAL challenge if the TF2 action got so hot on them. If a player like me can rank in the middle of the scoreboard with just using the revolver as a spy, with no disguises or cloaking, something's wrong. Either the game is too easy, or the player pool has too many nubs. I'm really going to say it's BOTH. I was really looking forward to playing TF2 last year when I purchased the Orange Box last year, but not anymore. So really, I used to be in their predicament. But are they ever so insolent! They would assume that I would be "advertising" this game. Well, no, not true. There's a difference between getting the word out and advertising. I tell other TF2 players about FF on my own volition. NOBODY is PAYING me to do this, and it is not my day job to just spam the word out all day. I just want to let them know that there's a much better game out there that stays true to the TF tradition we grew to love. For the last word, I first played TFC at the age of 13! Thirteen!!! I was a KID playing that game. And TFC was not considered "Mickey Mouse" like TF2 is. It was the REAL thing(but on the HL engine). And it shames me that there's other gamers my age or older who are sticking to TF2. What does that say about some of the gamers we have today? They need to weaned off from sucking the ample teats of TF2(LAWL), because they're ready for solid food, and FF is the game to provide it. |

It all the advertising stuff, everyone knew tf2 was going to be out soon like a year before it was out.
If FF was advertised as much it'll certainly have a lot of players. |

Double post handled and this was moved to the appropriate section of the forums. Careful with the whining, or this will be moved up into D&A.

Well actually....not like I give crap....but a dude who's name was (some clan tag)Pure Evil played for a while on NFO's server, then dropped out after saying that FF sucked his ass....or something like that.
He was getting his ass kicked in, so maybe that had something to do with it. I'm guessing he liked TF2, but he could have been a TFC fan. I wish he'd stuck around long enough to explain it. It's also puzzling that he should have said that to an obviously dedicated group of FF fans.....who else would have been playing at that hour and not liked FF?

FF noob-fans bashing TF2 makes me even sadder than TF2 noob-fans bashing FF, cos i hoped the FF community was grown up enough not to do ignorant shit like that and to realise that under their skins they are completely different games. if you like TF2, great. if you like FF, great. if you like both, woohoo. if you like neither, then apply to the FF dev team and help make FF into something you like!
that is all. |

Why in hell would you go into a server where people are playing one game and tell them to play another? Obviously they are enjoying TF2 or they wouldn't be playing it. It's like if you joined a football team just so you could tell all the other players how they should play rugby instead because it's SO much better. Then you act all butthurt because they told you to get lost.
You might think you are spreading awareness and doing a public service, but to those on the recieving end you are spamming and annoying everyone. |
