Minimizing the game -> GFX errors, blackscreen

Hey guys.

Since the new patch is out there is one issue I encounter more often than I did before. When I minimize the game (e.g. if someone is talking to me via steam chat) and put the game back up, I sometimes encounter several different errors:

Blackscreen, I hear game sounds etc but I can't do anything. Encountered this one in a similar manner in tfc as well. But not in any other steam game o.O

-> img tags didn't seem to work. Just blank fields appearing there.

additional gfx errors I had to deal with:
- The "purple/black texture" showing up on places where normally no texture is missing. For example instead of the grey SG parts.

- Numbered cap point fields (those in cz2 or tiger for example) are plain white or fully team colored.

I don't know if there is any solution to this. It ain't a giant problem either. I'd just want to know if someone of you might know where this comes from. Thx for the help guys

IIRC, running the game in windowed mode works fine.

I always have had this problem with FF, and no other source game. If I minimize, then the map changes on the server that I'm on, if I try to bring focus back to FF (open it up again) I only hear sounds, and only see my desktop. I always have to open task manager and restart FF when this happens.
It's not a big deal. Easily avoidable: Just don't alt-tab if the map is close to ending. But it is still a bug.

Yes, i think everyone has it when they are alt-tabbed when the map changes and they get the black screen with only sounds.

Yup, this was the form, the error appeared in tfc as well. But in FF it also appears when I'm already on the server and not loading the map or connecting. And yeah, I never use alt-tab tho and with my windows-lock I'd easily avoid using the windows button... lawl. But I'd have to enable in-game chat then.. which kinda killed my fps when I had it running.. tho that was on my old sucky pc back then. Funny ol' world thehe.

This is a HL2 problem afaik. I personally run the game in a window because I'm running a dual screen display. However, if you are running on an older system, this might not be an option.

Nah, I disilike window mode.. I'll rather deal with the problem
