the map name made me sad, thought it was the old avd map

I recommend not using the 'fit' button when applying textures to single faces. It's only really useful for texturing across multiple brushes when treating them all as one.

Is that an original map from Quake? Cause it looks like you decompiled some quake map and recompiled for FF while preserving the original aspect of it.

Maya was a great AvD map on TFC. Maybe renaming it would avoid any confusion ?

No, it wasn't an original quake map. But as the rocket arena game play has always been my favorite, I tried for that feel with the distances present in the map. The main reason it looks like it's from ID1, is that well, I'm not too experienced in mapping, this is my first map using hammer. I'm working on getting more than basic cuts down, and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
