You shouldn't be having issues with Crysis. I play Crysis (1) on close to full specs and I'm using a 2.5GHz Core 2 Quad with DDR2 Ram.

The other thing is the higher a res you play at, the higher requirements are.

Looks like it didn't detect the 2 external HD's I have attached. Granted, only one is powered up at the moment... the new one I'm backing everything up onto: Seagate Replica 2TB GoFlex Desktop. The other is a Western Digital 750GB external drive(I can't remember the model etc.)

Edit: It did detect them, but as peripherals, not HDs. I'm guessing that's because they are USB drives. It didn't give any real info on them, though.

Even Duke Forever is struggling in areas. Drops to 30-40fps It is on ultra and 1080 res though.

Thanks for the responses. I'll read them all and respond properly. I usually visit the fourms late at night and can't be arsed... :P

It might be time for a clean install of Windows. Your system should not be dropping to 30fps on DNF. The lowest I've seen yet is around 75-80fps, usually in the 130-160fps range.

I actually had my pc sent back and checked. I formatted/new win 7 x64 install before it got picked up.

This is what was left on my desktop by the technician:

I'll really go over this thread tomorrow...
