General jackassery and annoyance I think.

Thread derailment, persistent thread creation on one topic, blah blah blah.

You know, there's this handy feature called Private Messaging that could solve this in a jiffy.

Yeah I guess it isn't so I might as well ask what the whole horseporn.net thing is and where/why it started.

Horseporn.net is Nezumi's thing.

It is what it is and that's all what it is.

We just used the text (www.horseporn.net) to disguise a WeGame URL and lure creeps, weirdos, and geniuses to the video.

I do read these forums quite frequently still

Thread is interesting, but obviously they are really uncomparable.

I mean, how much does a shotgun shot do in FF to a player? The scout in TF2 hits for around 100 hp at point blank range.

SG's do have a push, players use strategy (such as sending a medic with an uber in first so the push back holds the medic up while the DD class runs in to kill the SG).

Grenades are the thing that would win it for FF, but in straight up combat, i don't think FF classes would win. The weapons do not do enough damage, and you can add all the speed in the world but it won't make much difference.

The fact that a medic can sit behind your damage dealers and be relatively safe (especially on CTF maps) and actually be an effective healer plays a huge role. You take a few hits on offence while they have a medic and you may as well suicide and make a new run. In TF2 the focus has been a lot more about staying alive, rather than trying to be as effective as posible in a single run. The respawn timer plays a role in this.

But yea, with grenades, the Mirv and Emp for example would totally rape the TF2 classes. Concs obviously play a role too but if the TF2 players were old TFC players (like a lot are) they would be able to conc aim just fine.

Other thing to remember, a HW guy with a medic attatched has 450 HP, soldiers having 300, scouts on 185 etc. . . Only grenades would be able to knock that down off them.

TF2 spy > FF Spy
FF Sniper > TF2 sniper (because of scope movement cap, they have really dumbed down sniping).

MIRV is easy to run from, EMP does no damage to TF2 classes since they don't have cells in that game.

Limited movement of the scope? What?

Also Remember TF2 classes have NO armor, that gives FF players an advantage as weapons would do twice as much damage.

No they wouldn't. Armor absorbs a percentage of damage, the rest goes to health. The damage dealt is the same. Having 100 Health and 200 Armor is essentially the same as having 300 Health.

So those HP numbers posted by AcidRenix wouldn't really make a difference, because our HW would have 400 hp, our solly would have 300, and our scout would have 125.

Compared to their

And apparently that's with a medic attached to them, we get our numbers solo.

Plus can their medic boost their hp's above 100% indefinately? Those tossed medpacks get us up to 150% pretty damn quick, and even just healing with our normal medpack can get us up above 100%

So long as the Medic stays attached, their HP stays high and continues healing. You have to kill/remove the Medic to do any serious damage.

That said... a well-placed MIRV would kill a buffed Heavy and probably the attached Medic as well, and even if they're uber'd they'd suddenly be on the other side of the map from the push.

This thread is still going on???

The topic was a spawn of my idea for the "Who would own in a FF TF2 crossover" in another thread. Just to set the record straight.

Thanks you.

You can't compare classes like the medic and the pyros. The medic of TF2 isn't in anyway like the one from FF as he isn't a COMBAT medic, but a SUPPORT medic. The medic of FF fights...the medic of TF2 runs and sticks a leaf blower up the butt of his teammates. I would say that the healing of the TF2 medic is more effective...but overall I would take the FF medic with his Super Shotty, concs/nades.
