The reason i didnt see it is because I never downloaded _b3. Have been running _b2.
yep your right...totally spaced changing that. I'll re-upload a fixed version now.

um as far as the water goes:

I used "ff_push/water_puddle_cheap" on the following jumps:

1 / 2 / 7 / 8 / 9

and "ff_well/ff_green_water" on jumps:

5 / 6 / 10 / 11 / 12

I also downloaded the .zip and commented out my textures and everything is working in game for me.

Downloads updated...please grab the new version if you have an older one. OR if you want to just edit the following files:

Quote:
materials/vgui/loadingscreens/conc_school.vmf

change:
Code:
"$basetexture" "vgui/loadingscreens/conc_school_b3"
to:
Code:
"$basetexture" "vgui/loadingscreens/conc_school"
Quote:
materials/vgui/maps/conc_school/overview.vmf

change:
Code:
"$basetexture" "vgui/maps/conc_school_b3/overview"
to:
Code:
"$basetexture" "vgui/maps/conc_school/overview"

The textures still doesnt work. Have you pakratted other vmt files using _b3 in the vmt files maybe?

_b2 works fine for me. Did you use ff_push/water_puddle_cheap and ff_well/ff_green_water for _b2 to?

I haven't changed the textures at all since the first beta release, except to add the new signs at each jump. So it's odd to me that they aren't working.

If someone else could dl this and confirm that it's the bsp and not you or vice versa, that would help out. Cause when I comment out all of my files and dl the version that's up now, everything is fine. So unless I got the water from somewhere else then idk...

I just downloaded the final from the first post, and I had no water textures either.
I have b2 already.

llama, fishburger, somebody. Please test the above link so I can make sure this one's right before I add it to the first post again.

Still no water textures. I see empty blackness from above the water.

...what the hell, I pak'd the water textures into the map...idk how else to fix it.

I'll play around tho...might just recompile and re-pak just to see if that does it.

Good Luck Doctor
Just guessing wild but maybe you should ask someone who never downloaded the map to test. Could it be that we who have the betas makes FF confused?

yeah...idk, it's odd b/c when I comment out stuff I take everything out and still works fine for me locally. But everyone else has said it's jacked so it's gotta be. I'm still gonna run a brand new compile here soonish. I still need to research possible problems. Also I've been mapping a ton lately and til I get my new RAM I can't do both...so probably mon / tues I'll run the compile and try it again.

Ok let's try this again!

I re-textured the water everywhere, re-compiled, pak'd EVERYTHING into the map, and just for funzies I'm going with a .rar instead of a .zip, SO...can someone please grab this map and test it out for me?

Edit: per below, it's still broken. link removed. will post another one soon.

The water on jumps one and two are stretchy as if there is nodraw there instead of water. I will edit this as I do the jumps.

Same thing on jump 5. Also on jump 5 I retained momentum after my failed attempt and continued to fly off in to the water. I imagine this would have happened indefinitely.

Same things on jump 6.

And 7. Except underneath the water looks like water.

Same with 8.

And 9. Also, 10 and 11. 12 too.

And I only needed two concs for the last one.

Same! Blurry water. Looks ok when you are in the water looking up, but gets all messed up looking at the surface from above. And now there is the wierdest bug ever on j2. Concs flying away by themselves. If you prime a conc and drop it it flies to the other side of the jump and get stuck in the wall . This only happens on j2.

Isn't J2 the one you are supposed to do a HH jump? I remember there was one jump where the concs would fly away to prevent you from doing a drop conc jump =o

yeah the concs going away is intentional. It's the water I can't figure out. I don't have any leaks so that's not it...and I have changed the texture twice now. I'm pretty much at a loss for what is happening.

I'm gonna try reverting back to b2 and building from there. Just b/c I know that one works.

mkay another test...I was sitting over the limit on entdata, and I'm thinking maybe that's what was doing it, so I changed a lot of that up and am hoping it's working now.

Need another test:
