also it's a little-known fact that you can sometimes move your pawns two spaces instead of one, use this knowledge to surprise your enemies

That's a common fact there mate. First move by pawns can be either one or two moves.

Castling I do all the time .

LOLZ MATE, HOW DOES THE HORSEY MOVE?

I once heard that when you get a pawn to the other side, you can turn it in to any piece you like and go stomping around the board with a Dreadnaught. This is a little known move.

This whole topic still cracks me up. "TFC is nothing like chess you noob, and here's a chess analogy to prove it!"

For a long time I didn't understand this rule, I thought you would always want to choose a queen or (in very rare situations) a knight. Surely a rook or bishop is just a worse version of a queen? Recently, however, I saw a situation where promoting to queen would've put the other player into instant stalemate, but promoting to a rook allowed for checkmate a turn or two down the line.

True story!

Actually, there is someone who plays regularly on Drippy's 2Fort, by the name of "Lil Bastard", who pretty much only plays scout, and uses nothing but the crowbar and concs. He is an annoying little bastard.......I've seen him take down HWs with nothing but the crowbar. He just runs around them in circles while beating them.

He also showed me that it IS possible, no matter how much you don't want to believe it, it IS possible to crowbar kill an SG. It isn't easy....but it can be done.
