Anyone have/used the Samsung d807?
Input is needed!
Rawr, I know nothing about this thing, pretty much. How does she handle? Does she have good mileage? Does she bruise (bad screen etc) easily? |

Well I haven't used THIS baby (looks NOICE!) but I can tell you, if you choose Samsung, watch out for low battery life.
I have a SGH-J600 by the way, I love it. Only downside is I can't type a text message while listening to my MP3's, that sucks. |

I agree, it looks noice. However, I've also heard of the battery rumors.. Mum just got this one (a516) and I'm currently field testing for said rumors.
Your phone is newer than I think. The d807's been out for a year. Thanks Drain Bamaged! |

Do NOT but the D807
I am a manager of an at&t store. That phone has an insane amount of defects and complaints. It's been discontinued as well. It has almost as many problems as the V3 with less than half the sales. If you like slide phones look at Samsung a737 http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=1289 Sony w580i http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=1210 LG cu720 (SHINE) http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=1380 All 3 of those phones are more reliable. The Shine is what I have and it's badass. Reliable, durable, decent reception plenty of features and shiny. That website by the way is a great resource if you haven't already discovered it. |

The V3 is probobly the best selling cell phone ever. (mild exaggeration)
There are so many out that naturally there are so many problems. Statistically speaking that is. What I have noticed however is that the ones earlier off the production line (like 2-3 years ago) tend to last the longest and be better made. The newer ones seem to be the ones with all the software bugs, battery issues etc. That said, it still has the number 1 place in the top 10 best reception of currently carried cell phones. The only problem is that current statistics offer is as the most warrantied of any other phone on the market. I wont ever recommend it to a customer. Because of that. The V9 is supposed to be very good. I can't smack longevity to it yet. But it does of a steel frame with hidden hinges and recoded software. It comes with opera too. I would not however but the V3xx. It doesn't have the same issues as the V3 but it has 2 hour talk time realistically speaking. (not what's listed on the box) |

My fiance and I went out and got a new plan with AT@T a couple months ago and got a couple a737 sliders and they're fine. I charge mine once every couple of days and it goes gravy.

It's a decent phone with good reception, can take a beating (exept the polished top, mine has a nasty dent that I can't get out ) and great functionality. |

In my experience the only samsung with notable battery problems was the original Blackjack. That just had terrible battery life that was easily drained by a software coding issue.
Other than that phone however, I get very rare complaints in my store from customer. The samsung Sync, for example was one of the best sellers and it's return rate is extremely low. |

Kind of off topic but I have a Nokia E65 that I actually found at work. It's a slider like these phones and I've noticed a lot more slider type phones not long after I found the E65.

The e65 isn't carried in the US by any carrier. It'll work as it's a quad band phone though. I know very little about it to be honest but here's a review page
http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/use...php?phone=1107 As far as slide phones, they've been around forever but not in high demand until they started to not suck. The matrix had slide phones in it, but from all the reviews I remember them selling terribly. Never made it to the US though. Not mainstream at least. The only stuff I'm gonna know about is at&t stuff haha. Right now they only have 3 sliders (other than 'data' phones) which are the ones I listed. The rest are The HTC Tilt, and the Pantec Duo. |

The phone is really nice but no one I've shown it too pays it any attention. The two people at my work with iphones have fan clubs that follow them around. I just really like having a phone that looks like a phone and is the size of a phone but has wifi in it and a browser so if I want to piggyback and check something out I can do it. Plus it's really durable. |

I love to say it. In fact I'm going to say it again just for fun, the iPhone is utter shit. For the cost, it doesn't do anything more than old nokia's other than have a touch screen. It's not state of the art, it's not durable, and it doesn't have limitless features. All the cool shit it does like wide use internet, and the listed voice mail cost extra. More than the standard iPhone plan that costs extra anyway. Then you've got its battery problems, software problems, and wide area defects. It's a terrible phone. Perhaps the next generation will be nicer but until then people only buy it for two reasons: It looks pretty, and there's a lowercase i in the name. |

Ok I found some more info, and the more I read about it, the more I love it.
The only thing I need to know is if I can listen to mp3's while browsing/SMS'ing, if so, next month I have an E70 (And I found a website that sells it for € 399.00!!! And they have it in STOCK!) |

I've got the E65 and I can listen to mp3's while browsing on WLAN or texting. So I'd assume you can do on that aswell. I'm really thinking about selling my E65 and using the money to get the E70
