drop a conc gren, get on the outside blast range and jump right before it explodes. also works well thru walls/doors to dampen effects

OR, hand hold it. without ever throwing the grenade, try jumping forward right as it explodes.

hard mode : prime and throw a conc grenade, then prime another one (don't throw this one just yet). conc jump from the first grenade on the floor, then while in the air, release the second one under your feet at the right time to double conc jump and fly through the air !

i use a custom sound for conc'swhich is here its basically the default sound, but some of the silience has been removed (only about 10ms i think) i find it easier to hh, as the last 3 beeps (that happen fast) help you get the height of the hh, 1st=low 2nd=mid 3rd=high

i think its better anyway

basically just get in the range of the conc when it explodes, it pushes everything outwards. if you happen to be in the air when it explodes, it will push you up and out.

The most useful way, is to "hand held conc" so you keep the conc primed (hold on to it) then just as it is about to explode, you jump, so that you are in the air when it explodes.

Then you just gotta do a whole lot of practicing !!

in the controlls options , there are 2 options that say primary grenade and secondary ( in ff there is 2 different options for throwing them ) set a key up for each of these , the to options is a toggle... where it takes you 2 presses to throw it, the second press actually tosses it, the other tosses when you press it and let go. so holding will prime it more, just think of how most pool golf games are and you will catch on

Speaking of this, are we going to get a manual at any point?

Conc nades are the 2ndary nade for medics and scouts. Small damage, big disorient. I think the default bind for em is G?

Its one of these things that feels so simple once you crack it, but can sometimes be hard to learn for the first time. Just keep practising at holding down a conc grenade (the special grens for scouts and medics in case you're not sure) and then jumping when it goes off, without ever throwing it. The effect should be more powerful for scouts, so thats probably a good way to start.

The hand held conc effect basically boosts your movement in whatever direction you are going at the time of the gren going off. So, if you're falling off a roof and it explodes mid air, you'll be thrown towards the ground even faster. Likewise, if you're jumping upwards at the time of explosion, you'll be propelled into the sky.

Once you're in mid air, you can control your movement to an extent by using the strafe keys. Letting go of the forward key whilst doing this should allow you even more control.

It will take a lot of time to perfect, but gradually you will develop a feel for it. Before too long you should be able to judge the timing of it all enough to execute long flat concs, really high concs, or something in between whenever you need to. Then you can start concing onto ramps (like on Shutdown2) and performing various other tricks. It takes time though, so don't get frustrated.

EDIT:
I recommend binding the conc grenade to a mouse button. I have it bound to MOUSE2 for both scouts and medics. The reason for this is that holding the G key restricts your ability to use that hand for movement. If you want to do this for only these two classes, open up your scout and medic cfgs in:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\FortressForever\c fg

and add:

Bind MOUSE2 +gren2

You could use MOUSE4, MOUSE5, or something else if you have a multiple button mouse.

a better solution (if you already use your mouse buttons) is binding something to "primetwo", so you just press that button and you are set for a HH CJump.

Super hard mode:

Lay down two, hold third, HH that one, throw a second one up in the air as you're flying upwards, and hold another one. If you time it right you'll HH your last one.
