Strange problem with steam

Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem.

I just logged into steam. brought up fortress forever, tried to connect to a server and it told me steam account is being used on another computer. Then it asks me for my name and password. (not putting it in till I know whats going on) I just tried it on HL2DM also and its telling me the same thing.

Now I'm no noob. I never tell anyone my password and its not easily picked cause its many unique characters long and I haven't run it on anyones computer but my own and I haven't installed anything in the last few days and I run foxfire and I know how to lock down my computer, so I'm pretty safe.

I was playing fine just a few hours ago. But now this.

I will contact steam/valve about this but I figured that an answer even a no idea would be better then waiting a while for them to contact me back.

Just doing that now, I don't see anything. I just wonder if its safe for me to log out of steam itself and put the password back in, if that would work.

I just thought of something, the only thing I did install was FF2 update, but I can't see how that would mess anything up (no I'm not blaming you guys, just wanted to make my post accurate)

Also this is the first time its ever happened to me.

I had this same issue every once in a while with steam. The only solution I found was to hit the sign in as different user screen log out restart steam and my system then sign in again.

i cant be 100% but i think this is steam auth. login servers go down at times and such, so im thinking thats all it is. what im saying is its kinda like when you timeout and the server still thinks your logegd in but your not b/c of the timing out. i have gotten this myself more then ones, but also just incase i do what you did log back in when i can and change password.
