Why your opinion is counted less than others.

1. Community: Nobody knows you, and thus anything you say will be weighted less than someone who is an active member of the community.

2. Play habits: You don't have to play 24/7, let alone everyday to get a good feel of what this game is about. What you do need to do though, is play in both pickups and pubs, big maps and small maps. When you are strictly a member of one part of the community, nobody well give anything you say pertaining to the other parts any merit at all.

3. Communication skills: Here are some hints to help you be taken more seriously. When posting in regards to features and changes.
a. Use complete sentences.
b. Be very specific.
c. Explain your reasonings in relation to what you know. It is ok to use references from other games.
d. Be positive.

4. Attitude: Players that assume there is a conspiracy and vocally deride other members of the community will be taken VERY lightly.

It has very little to do with personal skill and a lot to do with the amount of effort you put into researching your claims and crafting your suggestions.

Some more things I'd like to add:

Be descriptive! The only case anecdotal evidence is really worthwhile is when you are descriptive with what happened. For example, if you find an SG spot that can't be touched, tell us about it! If you can't get a screenshot or replay up, just describe the area!

Give screenshots and movies. Is there a problem with a map? Take a screenshot. Some class dominating all the others? Record a replay (go to your console and type Record _______ with ________ being the name you want to label it). Do anything it takes. A good photo hosting website would be photobucket and a good file hosting site would be mediafire.

Suggest a slight change. Dramatic overhauls are, generally, unlikely to happen. Suggesting slight changes that you feel would solve, or help solve the problem is recommended over giving a completely different approach to solve a problem.

Give your opinion on the state of a class. Stating that a class sucks doesn't cut it. Explain why, in what game mode, on what maps, etc. Often times a problem may exist for one class in one game mode but won't in another.

These are important things to consider.

More ideas:
Step1) Play the game and discover room for improvements.
Step2) Work up a good reputation
Step3) Make people like you as a friend
Step4) Push for the desired change

An old adage:

The wrong people doing the right thing....is the wrong thing.

eg. A convicted drug dealer gets no praises whatsoever for uncovering a corruption plot.

Leave a bad impression, and you can forget about persuading the community on anything. Everyone should remember his role as a politician.

Also maybe you just have bad ideas. Don't feel bad, it happens.

We won't consider an idea just because someone thinks it would be cool. You should first identify a problem or deficiency with the game and then think of ways to fix it. And you have to do that without breaking something else. So suggestions get shot down very often.

The post feels like a reply to a problem, but the problem was never clearly defined. I'm guessing the ideas/suggestion board is getting bogged down with whiners?

I actually value someone's view outside of the community pretty far up the scale, as long as the communication skills are good, etc. Most criticism is from within people playing FF a lot. It is good to hear someone completely new give their view of the mod concerning gameplay, maps, etc.

Within the United States government, managers get switched from one dept to another every 3 years. Reasons are:
1) don't want managers get too powerful for staying in a post for too long.
