Oooo I see .. thats grenade_napalmlet .. wtf .. is that the weapon name for the grenade on it's initial explosion, then grenade_napalm is the burn affect?

I really think this is a bad idea for FF. It seems to me that pubbers dont need yet another reason to forget about the objectives of the map. If this could be modified to take ranks off of fortress points instead of K it would definetly be alot better. Offensive players really get no boost in their rankings for capping the flag 9 times a round but dieing 50+ times, which is dumb.
On the topic, K should just be removed from the scorebaord entirely. Just have it as fortress points. |

Right now Fortress Points are not logged, so there is no way to.

Addendum to my last post...
We cannot even edit the plugin to track flags and caps since there are no game events raised for it in 2.1. Hopefully 2.2 will solve much of this. |

Flag captures only matter in matches and those on offense. As a defensive player, I often reference to my K|D ratio and how many times they’ve captured the flag. If, for some unknown reason, I am the only one play defense and there are 6 people playing offense… I can try to make sure they don’t get the flag, but it’s highly unlikely I would be able to stop them. I’ll try to take out half before dying. What does this give me? 3|1 ratio. If I can hurt them so maybe some oblivious offensive players see them, maybe we can stop them from capturing, but its unlikely. I find it quite a common situation where, as a spy or something stupid like an engineer, I would walk past a medic or a scout and they would just look at me and ignore me. Why? They only care about having sex with the flag. So I would venture into their bases, unharmed, full on grenades, and reap havoc on their defense. Why? Well, because the lack of mid defense and people who COULD help stop people entering their base just ignore them because they would rather pump themselves with the other flag. /rant. |

Stats will always track kills, deaths and pointage you based on K/D ration. In the future, when FF's logging becomes more advanced, which is currently in the works, HLX will be able to track all the things that currently give you Fortress Points and be able to more accurately rank you based on "Fortress Points".
Currently it just does not exist in the mod to be able to track that, HLX is able to track such things and is already set to do so, we just have to perfect the logging in FF. I do agree though, that the stats and ranks should be based off more than K/D. |

Please download the new hlstatsx plugin from the link in the first post (or here) and overwrite the old plugin on your server. The zip also includes the source in case you want/need to compile the plugin against your own SM build. |
