I'd post the news story here, but it's long and has a lot of pictures.

Basically, in a Chinese zoo, they throw animals into a pit full of Lions to be torn to pieces.

I wonder how they would feel if I went there and through one of the gawking adult males instead into the Lion pit. I am guessing that they would oww and ahhh as well. I would probally smile and ask who was next. I like to see that they dine on dog at the zoo as well. I do not hate Chinese people but I hate China. People who eats cats and dogs are dogs themselves. They just have not been properly trained as of yet. There is always time.

with China's Prime Minister, President, Furor or whatever you call him now and he promises that no live Llamas are fed to the Lions for emjoyment of the crowd. He also is going to look into the buffet style food line for the Lions that I have proposed as well. It will offer a variety of cooked meats including some pasta dishes. He was not happy with my first posting in this thread and we had argued for a moment until I ask him if he ate "dog" meat and a weird silence on his end overcame me. I explained that BBQ'ing Lassie wouldnt be a good idea since even though I hate Lassie and Love BBQ that it is still a "F^%$%^& DOG". He did send me a few recipes to increase my sexual prowlness as is in these foods but I told him that we have viagra in the US and people may choose to take that then eat a dog.

It is a well known fact that the Chinese treat people like animals and animals like... well... god knows what. I have hated china as long as I have known much about it. I would relish the chance to see the Western World and other countries such as Japan go to war with them.

While I don't condone needless torture of animals, and the chicken fishing is a bit too much, I don't really see what's so wrong with people watching as live food is thrown to the lions. As much as anyone can argue it's cruel to the animals, I could argue back that it's cruel to the lions not to give them live prey like they are supposed to eat.

and about eating cats and dogs: so what? I'd never do it but it's a culture difference. People in India worship cows and probably wouldn't dare eat one. If you aren't against eating animals period, it's silly to pick and choose which ones should or shouldn't be.

While the style in which this is done is upsetting to the eye it's important to remember that lions are hunters. In the wild they hunt down and kill weaker animals, and then eat them. Nature is violent, bloody and cruel.

The only difference here is that humans are aiding in the killing of the weaker animal, and they're doing it for entertainment. I find it upsetting, but I'm not going to cause an uproar about it.

Would you all be equally upset about people traveling into the wild and watching a hunt? (it's a rhetorical question. I know there is a large difference involved. I just want the thought to exist)

It's the style in which this is done that's disgusting to most people. Lions may hunt in the wild, but they're not fed animals for peoples enjoyment.

China has no human rights, and obviously no animal rights either. Tying down a tortoise's head and then pelting it with coins? HOW THE FUCK IS THAT A PART OF NATURE!?

animals. I cannot put my finger on it but I am guessing it is the act of eating CATS and DOGS is the thing that gets me. Who would ever want to roast Fido on an open spit soaked in BBQ sauce. I currently have a petition list who do not like the idea of eating these animals.

1. Lassie
2. Rin Tin Tin
3. Hooch
4. The Taco Bell Dog
5. Spuds MacKenzie
6. Astro (The Jetsons)
7. Garfield
8. Mimsey (MTM cat)

These are documented and we are ready to give these to the Chinese Governement. If not we will start dropping these shows associated with these animals from Syndication in China.

Just try to live without Lassie you mother critters.

I didn't make mention of the tutle thing that's just fucked up.

Although, exclusively for the sake of argument (and not my own ideals) one could argue that we humans are in the animal kingdom and therefore apart of nature, and therefor it's part of nature.

...still morally atrocious though.

yeah, dragging a goat all over the place and throwing it 8 meters down so it could first break it's legs, right in front of the lions so they could hunt the goat
just like in nature.. they might as well just have thrown a piece of meat in there it wouldn't have mattered shit to the lions
