Before and After: Old and new skins of TFC

Just thought I'd share my opinions and see where it goes from here.

The Scout:

Old: BAD. What the hell? He looks like a skinny railroad worker. He also strikes a resemblance to that Ernest guy. Eww.
New: GOOD. He has the better appearance of a professional scout.

The Sniper:

Old: Undecided. Kinda plain but I liked his hat style and shadow face.
New: GOOD. He has the camo-like cloak that many military snipers use for hiding in terrain.

The Soldier:

Old: GOOD. He just has that commando look that kinda kicks ass.
New: GOOD. The helmet is a big plus, along with the camo facepaint as well, and his camo has that tiger stripe pattern.

The Spy:

Old: BAD. I thought it was just too plain looking, but I give it props for the ninja look to it.
New: GOOD. Definitely what you would expect a spy to look like.

The Pyro:

Old: Undecided. The uniform pattern looks sorta odd, but he does have that "psycho" mouth.
New: GOOD. The face shield and gas mask apparatus is a NICE fix.

The Medic:

Old: Undecided. The uniform is classic-looking to the class but still looks pretty damn plain.
New: GOOD. It actually makes him look more like the combat medic he IS, plus, his camo is white/black.

The Demoman:

Old: GOOD. I liked the classic look of the demoman, and he gets to have a nice cigarette!
New: GOOD. Albeit a more contemporary look, he has that cool SWAT bomb squad guy look to him.

The Engineer:

Old: GOOD. Even though his uniform looks a little "rugged", he has that bad ass look.
New: GOOD. Not much change to the new versus the old, except that it looks a lot more refined.

The HW Guy:

Old: BAD. The helmet really looks goofy, and his wrinkled face shows him to be an old fart.
New: GOOD. BAD ASS. He's a lot more muscular and has a better build to handle that AC.

old models ftw. new models are "refresher" content in a bid to update the game while keeping the game fresh. in hindsight, old models are far better.

We gone back in time to 2000? (or whenever the newer models were introduced). Bit of an old debate.

Old models. But I don't mind either. Both sets are equally pleasing and displeasing at the same time. I sometimes switch between the two from time to time when I get bored.

Ps they're models not "skins"..self explanatory shit.

It's really not a late topic to discuss, but many of us has played TFC and I thought I'd just "shoot the shit" about it.

Well, I know some of you call them "models" and others call them "skins" but really, both of them are synonymical.

Well, overall, I always thought that the old skins were a little oldy and rigid. The new skins look a lot better overall.

And those that say skins are incorrect depending on what it is. Eg how you referred to models.

The skin or the the term I prefer texture is the detail wrapped onto the model.

I'm not being a moron but I feel must to correct you. It irritates me tbh.

i like them both.. but i've almost always used the new ones since they came out because of their animations and better detail
the old ones look more bad ass but i prefer the new ones

ff models need more muscles and fat
