I never said it was first hand news like CNN or any other the other biased networks. They play the same videos of the people on their show, in context or not, just like the other places.

I'd trust Jon Stewart over Bill O'Douche, or any other moron from fox news ANY day.

Colbert and Stewart are entertainers first, but they use satire as their delivery method. Are they reporting unbiased? No, but to be human is to have an opinion and thus we are biased. How much? Well, that's the question.

For example, I'm a proponent of gun control. Do I own one? Yes. Do I think they are necessary? For sure. Do I think everyone should have one? Shit no. Do I think they should be necessary? Not in the slightest. But people suck... My bias stands on the interpretation of the 2nd Amendment. I do not believe the drafters of the Bill of Rights had any intention of stating that every person needs to be armed to the teeth with every imaginable weapon. Consider what they had in the late 18th century - muzzle loading black powder firearms. That was also what their potential oppressors would be wielding as well, in addition to a few heavier pieces of artillery. Instead, it was created to provide men a buffer, a way to keep their independence if the need should ever arise again to stand against a corrupt government.

So I am biased, but far from extreme. I believe in personal rights but also in the need for a restriction on how far those rights extend. If everyone respected the rights of others then we would never enter into these arguments. I despise those who would try to force me to see their way, and only their way, by shoving their ideals and beliefs down my throat. The opportunity to look at the facts, often buried in layers of burning sarcasm and ridicule, is what our fake news pundits offer. They don't tell us how to think, what to believe, who to listen to. Rather, they point out who is being totally fucking ridiculous and hope that we will see that there is no right way to do anything in this world. Ambiguity is the game, but we layer it with "our way" and tell everyone else this is how it is, how it is going to be or fuck you.

I saw a Facebook post today someone shared that had a gas pump with a sticky not on it. It commented on the fact that gas prices were 1.80 a gallon when Obama was elected and now are reaching record highs. That is completely true, however (always a however), he didn't cause it. It's a result of our increasing dependance on foreign fossil fuels, market inflation, regional unrest, stabilizing economy (people drive more when they're more secure in their financial lives), and the fact that gas was so damned low then because the economy tanked. Yet most people refuse to see more than the surface, that top layer of caked on bullshit and mascara which hides the ugly truth they don't like. We still elect people based on how we feel about them, how they look, what they project, far more than we do their scruples, ideas, voting history, ethics, or any aspect of a person that really makes for a good lawmaker.

So until we educate the masses about what really matters in their candidates, we will be constantly fucked and unhappy with what someone else is doing in a building a long ways away. And that they'll be doing it with our money...

my thoughts is no, Obama never caused the gas prices to go up or down. however right before his elections guess what dropped the gas prices . my theory is that people that want him to be elected (his constituants) are pulling strings in the back to line it all up for him. reality is hes a pawn in a much larger eviler scheme.

If gas prices are still over $4 come November I don't see how Obama retains his office....regardless of how damaged his competition may be.

Thanks for the vid Kube.

He's the most honest, genuine, experienced guy for the job. He also has been in war and understands very clearly that people are getting killed right now and will continue if we keep it up. He might be old, but so is all the bullshit we've been dealing with for the last 10+ years.

I see a lot of people replying to this thread talking about the news stations and while I agree they're biased, don't blame them. Blame yourself for not getting the facts. We're in the information age people, you should be able to research & think for yourself.

Ron Paul understands where we're at and where we need to go. He acknowledges we as a country are a fucking terrible example right now, we shouldn't be trying to strong arm any other country to be like us, that we need to get the fuck outta other countries internal affairs & concentrate on becoming prosperous again so countries WANT TO BE LIKE US.

Ron Paul 2012

It may not count for Ron Paul, but I cannot allow myself and my conscience to do anything other than write him in if it comes to that. This thread is a couple months old but fuck it. Ron Paul -

^ I'm still having high hopes for Dr. Paul. As the delegates are being counted (actual counts, not estimates), Ron Paul is basically pwning Romney. He's won 11 states so far and with Texas and California primary's coming up soon, I'd say he has a good chance at getting the majority of delegates in both states (cali = weed, texas = his home state).

With that said, he might not get the nomination, but all this talk about Mitt Romney being the presumptive nominee is just that, talk. It's nothing more than rumor brought to you by the major corporations controlling the media networks in this country.

GO RON PAUL!

Yeah been following Paul's support pretty close. The only way I can vote for a republican nominee is if, and this is a big IF - Ron is a vice presidential candidate. Ron is a long shot and only if no one wins first round. Romney... really republicans? REALLY? Who did he blow Hannity?

The only way I can vote democrat right now is... well that's not going to happen.

I voted for Obama because McCain is a f-tard among f-tards stomping around using the constitution to wipe his dingle berries. Dude was cool once, long time ago. And Obama was coming in as not so much an insider. Then the sheep of America elected a house and senate of socialist brain dead zombies which I did not expect. Silly kitteh. Thought there would be some balance; meaning socialist idiots on one side cancel out fascist idiots. So Obama turned out to be king fucktard of fucktopia.

The way I see it republicans and democrats are both socialist and fascist. Their motivations are different but they pretty much tow the same line. Either the earth is going to kill us so we have to CONTROL you are Al Qaeda is going to kill us and rape our babies so we have to CONTROL you. Or Iran, or Smoking, North Korea or red meat, the Mexicans or guns. And both agree internet predators are going to eat all the children.

I heard some Hannity the other day. Hannity - stop bitching about the TSA you helped fecking create it with your paranoia. Dude is schizo. He should team up with that bag of cat exrement Keith Olbermann, call it the 700 club of doom. 10 minutes of left/right babble followed by 30 minutes of adds to help those stressed out listeners either pee or get a hard on. Then I realize they are both entertainers who make a killing off of their listeners. So I calm down a little.

Meow.

If Paul doesn't get the nomination, then I personally would be voting for the Libertarian Party.

It's looking like the LP could be on all 50 states' ballots this year, so if the pro-Paul people got behind a Libertarian, then we could have the highest amount of votes for a third-party since Ross Perot, and maybe the first time a state has been won by a third-party since George Wallace in the 1968 election. Gary polled well in New Mexico back when he was a Republican candidate, so that would be the best bet.

Still, it would be a long shot, as it would require the R3volution to get behind the Libertarian Party, which they have so far seemed reluctant to do.

Anyway, I hope it doesn't have to come to this anyway as Ron Paul should be elected the Republican nominee if the conventions continue to go his way, as they have so far.

Ross Perot was also labeled by the media as a crackpot but he made some sense. That was before Fox News, but they would have been all over his ass as well. The only difference between MSNBC, CNN or Fox is who is blowing who and which elite asshole or witch hunt group is paying the mouth piece on TV spew their propaganda:

take Ritalin
take psychotropics
take everything
your children are in danger
your planes are not safe
your food is not safe
eat expensive supplements or you'll die
meat will kill you
chickens will kill you
eggs will kill you
mad cow is everywhere
flu will kill you
Iran wants to nuke you
hollywood is good
drones are good
oil is bad
nuclear energy bad
coal bad
solar energy bad
solar energy good
Obama good
war criminals good
war criminals bad
UN Good
every violent act outside the USA is Al Queda
Syrian government bad
Bahrain government good
Obama gets a peace prize!
Mexicans bad
Muslims Bad
congress good
my government is good
I trust my government

The Brown shirts are here in the EU, everywhere. And "political correctness" and "social justice", American Idol, Big Brother, Lady Gaga Gaga, Justin Beeber and people like Wolf Blitzer are their tools.

Ah who cares, Oprah is on.
