I thought I had replied to one of these threads before. But, since I can't find one......

Here goes:

A friend of mine bought Half Life, and highly recommended it to me. Especially since he/we had gotten TFC for free in the box. We, along with another friend of ours, began playing TFC with some bizarre names. "Major Asshole" was one, I can't remember #3's name, but I used "Ignorant Bastard". We talked on the phone while we were playing, so we were able to coordinate our O/D efforts.
One day, I was playing alone, and joined the [NME] server, and they requested I change my name, since it contained a "swear word". I thought about it, and decided to toss my job title in as a substitute, so I became "Ignorant Florist". During the course of games, people began to refer to me as "Iggy" for short. As things evolved, I decided to just use that.

BOSTWIX - was my awesome lego creation as a kid who would destroy all of rodox and rockwells legos. I've had him for like 15-18 years.

other names ive used were feedmeastraykitten (american psycho), tuxedo mask (sailor moon), prince valium+ (spaceballs), and nirvash (i dunno).

This should explain everything if you don't already know. Although I have shortened it to just panda now. Pandas also happen to be one of my favorite animals.

i actually remember posting on one of these at-least a year ago. but its really simple.

i took Wi-Fi and condensed it to WiFi then i put Die at the end of it just for the hell of it. WiFiDie i decided to cut the E and hence WiFiDi.

Wi-Fi it became something that irritates the living shit out of me like no other so DIE indeed was indeed appropriate, even if i didn't know it at the time.

(well besides ISP's.

) now for an actually back story.

started playing runescape (back when it was 2D) was the first time i needed an alias so i decided on hacker 4 however you can probably guess why i stopped using that name. then at my Fps beginnings (Starwars: Battlefront) i chose to go with a play off of my last name Foot3000 that lasted maybe a year or 2 im not sure honestly. after the name started becoming a common sight i decided i wanted something more unique so i was in a ryhmey mood. Also I would constantly have to explain what WiFi was to people i decided i originally on WiHiFiDi but I decided it was to long and complicated for people to get or understand (Hi-Fi is technical term that Wi-Fi is actually called, Wi-Fi is simply a marketing name.) so I shortened to WiFiDi. it had several variations but after i was introduced to steam it kinda just stuck.

there and that's how i ended up as WiFiDi

variations include WiHiFiDi, YFiDi, HiFiDi, YHiFiDi, WiFiDi

Mine came from a series of HLDM matches a loooong time ago.

I was playing on a Low-Grav server, and had a knack and blowing up people's faces with the grenade launcher across maps. One person claimed I had a "Hawk's Eye" after I hit him across map while really only his head was visible. I changed my name there and then.

After reading comic books, later on, Hawkeye repeatedly was my favorite, so I was glad to have a name related to him.

Now-a-days I typically go by ProfGood in most other games, since any variant on a Marvel Hero's name is taken.
