Big deal, it's just a video of players taking dives who happen to be bad actors.

Diving has to be the worst part about soccer. Gets really annoying, especially when it's so poorly done as this.

Diving is gay, worst part from soccer indeed, but really, soccer > football, big time. Saying that all soccer players are sissies is.. unfair

All I'm gonna say that in soccer, when someone headbutts someone else it's a huge deal and everyone's freaking out.
In hockey, you have to almost die to get noticed. Hockey players > soccer players. Hockey > soccer. |

It wasn't like this back in the good old days...
Like.. 8 years ago, I remember footie being awesome but with this influx of diving and nothing done to stop it, it's largely gone to shit. Curse you, foreigners, for bringing it to England. In my under 9-15s games we had some solid battles. :P |

That's because they are basically doing a dead run for 8 minutes at a time.
BTW, requirement for soccer: being able to jog for 60 minutes straight. Let's see "just anyone" do that. I can barely jog for 6 minutes, much less 60. And let's add that AFTER you can do that, you also have to be able to speed up and everything. Then, of course, you have to be able to do crazy shit like handstands and backflips after scoring a goal to show off to the ladies.

I'm a massive soccer fan, but I do hold a lot of respect for ice hockey players. I've heard about ice hockey players playing with broken ankles before. How the fuck to you skate on a broken ankle?
In my soccer experience I've played with a broken collar bone, a torn calf muscle, a torn tendon, torn cartilage and a fractured skull. (all at different times of course. I do believe I'd have to have been hit by a truck to get all that to me). But, none of that seems as hard as standing and balancing on an ice skate with a broken ankle, let alone skating on it. But for the record, the injuries that are suffered in soccer are statistically worse than in American football. There are a lot of actors out there on the field, but those people are not regarded well by their communities. You judge a whole by the way it's minorities act. I've seen people fall on the ground and get kicked in the stomach by 3 people. No card or penalty was called, there was a ball in play, so it's legal. You do that in football and everyone cries "unnecessary roughness." |
