Looks good, nice and clean, but it could use some trim (on the inside at least).

Trimmings will be the final part with the lighting...

I don't really post here much, I feel theres way too much junk in the forums. Nevertheless, map is looking great dude. Quite impressed.

If you continue to have problems updating Steam, exit from Steam, and then delete the following files from your Steam directory.

C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.dll
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamUI.dll
C:\Program Files\Steam\ClientRegistry.Blob

Obviously, restart steam and hopefully it'll correctly update you. Sorry if this is undermining you. As a mapper aswell I get pretty annoyed at futile advice aimed at such simple problems, yet sometimes it works :P Look forward to trying out this map and maybe a couple more of yours when the game is hopefully released next year

Hehe, Pratchett and Discworld <3. It's a shame I forgot my password for the original account, spelt correctly. <3 Nezumi. I've noticed some of your work around here aswell (If I could be bothered to pick up mapping again, maybe I could aspire to reaching the level of some of your pieces.) Due to lack of time and against a range of my better judgements, I continue to delay...Maybe i'll simply start making concmaps again when our beloved mod is released.

Oh, and my cordial thanks in only posting purposeful posts <3 Some of the futile junk displayed in these forums turns me off the game, if i'm honest ='[...

It's kinda cool. Looks like a lounge/bar theme or something. Maybe a town hall that no one uses. The dark light and dustmotes seem wierdly well suited to extend that theme. The only problem is that in some places you have wood and metal or wood and concrete sharing an edge, which looks wierd. (Like in the 'ramp room' screenshot) Some trim would help this. Otherwise keep the wood.

Edit: Ok, I looded at the Ramp Room screenshot again, and I realized that the bit with the yellow and black stripey texture is exactly what I'm talking about in terms of trim.

If you look closely at the wall you will see that they all have trimming on them to space them apart. I've used one of the textures for steps as its just 2 black lines which seems to work well.
Ill take some close ups if you are not sure what i mean.

Edit: Example can be seen on the ramp in ramp room.
If you think i need trimmings around the edges of the ledges then just say and I'm sure it can be done, otherwise i think it looks good as it is.

Still working on lighting as you can see and am thinking of adding in boxes etc to add to it as well as fencing in certain areas.

Edit: The wood on the floor is to add to the design of the map and the wood on the top part of the walls is just wooden panels like the ones you can buy from ikea or homebase :P.

I would also rather use a floor texture which doesn't look as if its repeating like the standard floor textures of square panels.

Just taken a glimpse at some of the other maps in development with my fav being FF_Colossus. I am now thinking to myself:

Should i add loads of various effects and details to the map which will probably make it look a little over the top for the size of the map.
Or!
Stay away from adding too much more to it and just work on the layout and game play of the level.

I need ideas!, I'm stuck for what to do next.

I feel that i may stick with something similar to the wood effect as its not something you often see in TFC but i would like to give the wood team colours or something.
