TFC Renaissance?

Since this forum says: Discuss anything about Fortress Forever or Fortress mods in general. I'll use this section.

Have started playing TFC again recently and no matter what time there are always several servers almost full. also looks like some others have started again also. what's going on? a TFC Renaissance?

Do you guys still play TFC?

I played it again the other day for the first time in ~4 years.. was interesting but felt so clunky. Felt like I had to hack the game in order to make it playabe with all the config BS, toggle grens that dont lag etc.

was a good 8v8 though

I play TFC quite often. I'm a "Super Regular" on Drippy-'s 2fort. It's my regular hangout. I do like maps other than 2fort, so I occasionally hit other servers IF there are people on them and a map I enjoy playing on.

FFS, for $5, you can't beat it. Thousands of maps available, and even a few can be played by yourself(the_game comes to mind).

I haven't played it since FF came out. It would be nice to play a game with more than 1 server hosting players though...

Maybe i'll have to reinstall it for old times sake.

Yeah, and I play on Drippy-'s 2fort, the likes of which there is no comparable FF server. Check it out, the mods alone make a TFC purchase worth it!

When I play TFC I tend to play on the Gas Chamber's 2fort or vote server. Basement solly on 2fort is hella fun, but there's only so much of it I can take, which is why I enjoy a server that'll play maps other than 2fort and dustbowl.

Although all the assholes that vote for axlfly all the time make me cry.

can't beat a round of avanti or dustbowl. I usually play on euro servers and have to say the game looks pretty active. ok, there are only 2 servers, but they are mostly full.

Most of the people who play on GC are people who have either been banned on Drippy's, and/or don't like the restrictive anti-bhop on D2F.

Banned for hacking or being asshats? I would believe both. But yeah, I hate the bhop cap on D2F, it feels like I'm chopping any time I jump, even if it's just a short hop.

WTF u talkin bout

I play on both GC and Drippies. I prefer GC because it has a generally more skilled player base, more players as well as playing a wider variety of maps.
