I JUST heard a spy at work…

Well, I’m at work… and I could have sworn I heard a spy as if he was near my sentry gun. You know, the “crap, I have to prime and emp and throw it somewhere next to my sentry gun” sound. Problem: I don’t have a sentry. Unless sentry gun is a metaphor for my…

When playing on a Real Life (RL) public server, friendly fire is on by default.

The server admins in the RL servers take team shooting VERY seriously. Just once will likely get you banned for life, or your account deleted.

The only defense to team shooting, is if your team member shot you first. Then most of the time the server admin will over look your shooting your team member back, especially if its self defense.

If the server is running in California, New York, Massachusetts and a few other liberal sates, even the self defense argument will not work. If you dare to shoot a team member in self defense get ready to be banned for life. Servers in those states require you to run from team members that are shooting you, even if have to run to the enemy base, you are required by the server rules to retreat. If the server admin is busy while you are retreating, your just out of luck.

However, if the server is in a state like Texas - if a team member even points their weapon in your direction and you feel threatened, you can frag them. If you are in the flag room playing defense, and your team member shoots you, and you frag them, you can claim protection under the castle law.

Its always preferred to play on servers that have some form of self defense, or castle rule in the server rules. At least then you can get a fair trail in the servers forums before you get banned for life, or get your account deleted.

If you get banned, you might be able to post a ban appeal in the forums and let the moderators discuss it. But once your account has been deleted, thats it - game over.

I forgot about servers running in the state of Louisiana, if you team shoot there, it depends on if your related to the server admin or not. If your like a brother, or sister you might only get a 1 week ban. If you a cousin, maybe a month ban. If your not related to the server admin, expect the server admin to team shoot you, ban, and maybe even "accidentally" delete your account. Most servers in Louisiana do not even have a website or forum for the server, so there is no appeal process.

Outside of Louisiana - if your banned, you could hire some professional forum posters to post an appeal thread in the servers forums. But professional forum posters are very, very expensive.

Oh yea, if you play on a server in San Fransisco, the medics can team infect. And the servers run a modification were there is no cure for team infection. So if you get infected, expect to have a slow painful death. There are other servers outside of San Fransisco that run the team infect modification, its called the HIV - Half Infection Variation modification. Half the people the medic "heals" become infected. Just about all of the servers in San Fransisco run the HIV modification, and its getting more popular in other areas of the nation. Before playing on the server, check the server rules to see if the admin has the HIV modification installed. There is an HIV test that gives almost instant results, but its not accurate. The test will check the server to see if it has HIV. If your playing on a public server, you might want to have the instant HIV test with you. You never know when a server is going to test positive. The only option then is to pull out and go play in another server.

I was dosing off in my java programming lecture and one of my out of mind experiences had me running around in FF. I saw a pyro hanging out somewhere outside my base. ><

Whenever I see a cluster of people, I reach for gren1.

I actually felt bad about it for a while, but it turns out it's also a running joke amongst Vietnam vets - I was asked to spread out, because my friends and I were "frag bait." Made me feel a lot better.

2fort was our 'Nam, guys.

No bullshit:

I was in a Giant Supermarket one day. I heard, over the intercom, the same exact sound that TFC(stock) plays when someone takes your flag.

With Rose as my witness, I ducked and started looking around, ready to kill the thief.... before realizing (a whole 3 seconds later,) that I was NOT playing TFC, and was, in fact, in a grocery store.

Hey man, if you want to be ignorant about my state then that's just fine. But please, it's pretty funny to be hearing this from somebody who lives in Texas.

Also, it was a post that was separated to a thread by a moderator. I'm guessing you're not used to hearing from people who have a brain around there.
